Drug & Tracking Dog Handler Course

This course is a comprehensive hands-on Drug and Tracking Dog Handler Course that combines classroom study and practical application. This course will teach and certify a student as a Drug and Tracking Dog Handler upon successful completion.  Each student will be provided the opportunity to certify with their dog in the area of drug detection and tracking.

Course Objectives

  • A student will display the ability to fluidly work with their assigned dog and make sound decisions applicable to the health, well-being, and safety of the team.
  • A student will acquire the tools and resources needed to safely and effectively deploy their assigned dog within the realm of their areas of training.
  • A student will use techniques taught in this course to effectively continue training their assigned dog.
  • A student will make sound decisions based on training, industry standards, and case law.
